Stay tuned for our next big event !
This is an endeavor to create opportunities for fellow Indians in Portugal to stay connected with their roots and yet contribute to the society by connecting Art and Culture, Food and Festival, Science and Society through this platform.
With our main focus on building socio-cultural harmony, the association will start its journey by celebrating the rich and diverse culture, art forms, festivals from various parts of India and promoting the incredible diversity of our mother land.
Bhoomi means the Earth in Sanskrit and signifies the Motherland in Indian context. Like Kabiguru Rabindranth Tagore said, “O my native soil, I bow my head to you in deep obeisance” or in the words of pioneer novelist and poet Bankimchandra Chatterjee "Vande Mataram" (transl. Mother, I bow to thee). Inspired by such feelings it encouraged us to bring a piece of our Motherland to Portugal.
In our journey to connect people, we took the initiative to create a community for socio-cultural harmony amongst Indians, people of Indian origin and all those who are interested to know more about India.
On behalf of Bhoomi, our aim is to conduct, coordinate and promote community, cultural and social activities that will foster friendship, cultural understanding and social bonding among various people and communities in Portugal. We will also encourage children to learn about the spirit of inclusion in diversity of the Indian culture and philosophy through study, observation, and participation. We welcome your active support and participation for achieving this purpose.
Your support and contributions will enable us to continue our initiative of bringing people together. Your generous donation will fund our mission.
